Handcrafted terracotta connecting material, colour and architecture — made to order for each project.

Earth · water · fire · craft
Since 1920, the Brioni family has made terracotta by hand in Gonzaga. Every tile carries natural variations in tone, surface and edge.
The collections encompass traditional cotto, marbled Cotto Variegato and contemporary series for floors, walls and architectural reliefs. Format, colour, finish and laying pattern are selected for the project.

Microbia
Finemateria for Fornace Brioni · 2026
Matter in motion
Microbia is Finemateria’s 2026 collection for Fornace Brioni. It explores terracotta’s living character through tactile surfaces, rhythm and subtle variations that shift with the light.
SUMISURA presents the collection as a focused contemporary material study, to be explored in dialogue with the architecture.

Paris Design Week 2026 · Musée Bourdelle
In the exhibition Contrepoint, Anthony Guerrée’s work enters into dialogue with the sculptural world of Musée Bourdelle. For Fornace Brioni, cotto becomes a contemporary field of research through Voluto, Vertigo, Ordo and Echo.
The project shows how handcrafted terracotta can move between flooring, vertical decoration, relief and freestanding object.

SUMISURA assists with material selection, samples, special formats, quotations, ordering and delivery for projects in Sweden and the Nordic region.
